Dr. Warren joined Family Care Partners in 2004, opened the FCP Argyle Division in 2006, and is now at our Fleming Island location as of late 2016. He is originally from South Carolina. Dr. Warren completed undergraduate training at The University of Florida and received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed residency training in Family Practice at the Naval Hospital Jacksonville and is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He also completed a fellowship in Faculty Development and research at The University of North Carolina. Dr. Warren is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a member of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association.
Prior to joining Family Care Partners, Dr. Warren completed a 24-year career in the U.S. Navy,
which
included submarine duty and overseas duty as well as hospital, clinic and teaching assignments. Dr.
Warren and his family have been residents in the Orange Park area for over 22 years. He
enjoys
family related activities and close involvement with his children’s activities at school and
outside of school.
Dr. Warren believes in a compassionate approach to the patient, a

Dr. Green has been a part of the medical community in Jacksonville for well over 20 years with a majority of that time spent in and around the Beaches area of the city. He graduated in 1987 from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Originally a doctor for the U.S. Army, Dr. Green transitioned to private practice in the early 1990’s when he made Jacksonville his home. He has worked as both a solo practitioner and the member of several group practices throughout the years. Along the way he has served in a multitude of director and advisory roles for healthcare facilities and services ranging from hospital focused entities to nursing homes and home health agencies.
When asked what brought him down the path of medicine his response was: “I came from a “medical family” and was exposed to the practice of medicine at a very young age. With firsthand knowledge of the profession I always knew I was destined to be a physician.” He feels the best part of his profession is being able to discuss with his patients the personal details of their past medical history and providing them alternative options for improving their health.
He believes that his patients would appreciate his calm demeanor, his thorough explanations of their problems, and his caring bedside manner.
He grew up in Philadelphia, PA and enjoyed summers at the New Jersey Seashore. After his discharge from the US Army Medical Corps he decided he wanted to live “at the beach” year round. Jacksonville afforded him the opportunity to do so!
In his free time Dr. Green can be found spending leisure time with his wife, daughters, grandson, and dog Lucy. In addition to that, he is an avid surfer and gardener.

Dr. Sessions has been in practice since 1981 after serving in the Navy, and joined Family Care Partners in 2014. He graduated with his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1974.
Dr. Sessions is a member of the Clay County Medical Society.
The most important things that he wants to convey to his patients are honesty, the use of common sense, and limit self-abuse.
Dr. Sessions’ hobbies include enjoying watching Baseball and Football, but above all his favorite is going the movies with his lovely wife.

Dr. Ali Afshar, graduated from Ross University School of Medicine in 2010, he attended the University of Arizona – South Campus for his residency and completed that residency in 2014.
When asked what brought him down the path of medicine he says: “I always tell my patients that medicine chose me, I didn’t choose medicine. For it is through the practice of compassion, dignity, equanimity, and many other basic tenants of being human that make life worth living. Through life experiences, both personally and professionally, it has always been the strong bonds I have developed with my patients that has been a constant force drawing me back to doing something meaningful with my life, and that is practicing medicine.
Watching his patients overcome obstacles in their lives that allow them to get back on their feet and continue to live meaningful lives, is what most excites him about his work and the contributions he makes.
Dr. Afshar grew up in California and arrived in Jacksonville in 2016. He currently volunteers at the Way Free Clinic in Green Cove Springs, which offers, opportunities to those who lack medical insurance, and the financial means to otherwise obtain healthcare. He enjoys playing his guitar, and trying to figure out a new riff he hears from one of his favorite guitar players. He also enjoys practicing Hatha yoga several times a week. On Sundays he likes spending time with his two dogs, going for a hike, or to the beach. He says it would be impossible for him to give up his music/guitars, and his dogs, which keep him grounded.
He defines Awesome Care as, seeing patients regain hope when they’d felt like they’d lost it, and taking time to talk to my patients about prevention of disease in order to keep them off medication.

Dr. Saul has worked in healthcare for the past 36 years. He attended Ohio State University, graduating in 1980, and did his Residency at Shands and VA Hospitals in Gainesville FL in 1983.
When asked what brought his down the path of healthcare he said when he was 12 years old, his Aunt became extremely sick and was hospitalized for about a week. When she came home, so much better, he wished to be able to make sick people better so they could spend more time with their families.
He says his patients would say that he is a caring and compassionate person, and also a good friend. He’s enjoys listening intently while a patient explains their issue, then focusing on and figuring out the correct diagnosis, and supplying the best possible treatment for their condition.
Dr. Saul grew up in Western Ohio, and after Medical School moved to Florida. He practiced in Panama City FL for 26 years before coming to Jacksonville in 2018 as a refugee from Hurricane Michael. In his spare time he can be found with his wife, daughter, and grandsons at the park or Zoo. He and his wife also enjoy going to watch a movie, and watching football, both college and professional. He would find it hard to give up his wife, family, or medical career, also on a lighter note…his 23 year old Toyota Tacoma truck with 263,000 miles!

Dr. Barbel-Johnson completed her Family Medicine Residency at the Mayo Clinic and has practiced Family Medicine in Northeast Florida for twenty years. She has served as the Medical Director and Director of Health Center Services at the I.M. Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless and has held academic appointments with the University of Florida Community Health Department and Family Medicine, and Mayo Graduate School of Medicine.
Dr. Barbel-Johnson has been recognized by Jacksonville Magazine as one of Jacksonville’s Top Docs. She has also been recognized by the Florida Academy of Family Physicians as the Young Family Physician of the Year. She has also received Nova Southeastern University’s, Rose Community Service Award, Duval County Medical Society’s, We Care Service Award and AAFP’s Leadership Award.
Since 2009 she has been the Senior Principal Investigator for more than one hundred clinical trials in seven therapeutic areas. Dr. Barbel-Johnson enjoys volunteering in the Greater Jacksonville Area and spending time with her two children-Joshua, a Musical Theatre Major at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and Joi, A member of the communication academy at Nease High school in St. Augustine Florida.

After college, Dr. Carriere spent six years working in the family Home Furnishing Business, and providing for his growing family. Inspired to make a difference, he made a major career change, and embarked on a career in medicine. Dr. Carriere graduated with honors and special recognition for service to the community from Tulane Medical School and did his residency in family practice at the University of Florida, in Jacksonville.
During medical school, Dr. Carriere became interested in the treatment of alcohol and drug addictions. He pursued this interest as a part of his medical practice and became the medical director of one of the first accredited alcoholism treatment programs in Florida; subsequently he led the effort to develop three free-standing addiction treatment hospitals in Florida.
His early family business experience combined with a passion for family medicine gave him a rather unique perception of the healthcare industry. He began practice in 1975, and built a solo practice into a 45 provider, eight location, primary care group. Family Care Partners has won national awards for implementation and utilization of their comprehensive Electronic Health Records (EHR) and is recognized locally as a leader in providing high quality, cost effective primary care.
Dr. Carriere's vision and his recognition of the value and potential of electronic patient care data and collaboration between stakeholders in the improvement of the quality and efficiency in patient care has led to a leadership role in the development of Healthcare efficiencies such as NEFRHO (the North East Florida Regional Health Organization).

Dr. A. Todd Miller
Dr. Miller has been practicing medicine for 24 years He graduated from the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine in 1994, and completed his residency at Long Beach Memorial Family Medicine, 1997.
Dr. Miller grew up in Granite City, IL. He has lived in and had medical licenses in California, New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, Washington, and Missouri. He has also lived in Maine, Kentucky, and Louisiana. He relocated from a rural health practice in Louisiana and has arrived in Jacksonville to enjoy his new life in MacClenny FL with Family Care Partners.
After being admitted to the hospital for two weeks, while in high school, Dr. Miller was intrigued by medicine. He volunteered as a Candy Striper, in high school, and then followed his path to becoming a doctor. Many experiences along the way that were vital to making his dream a reality.
His patients say he is compassionate, thorough, resourceful, always available, and that he cares about them, and their families. They say they can count on him for their health care needs
Dr. Miller loves being an advocate for the health care needs of his patients, and his community. He believes that being a community leader and activist excites others to take care of their community.
When not at work, you can usually find Dr. Miller spending time with his beloved dogs. He is a very successful Whippet breeder, and participates in dog shows, running competitions, and judging through the American Kennel Club. Most importantly, his dogs are his kids, and he loves them with every ounce of himself! He says it would be impossible for him to give up his partner Todd Bennett, and of course, all or any of his dogs!

Dr. Edwards-Crawford has dedicated 35+ years to working in medicine. She graduated from Jefferson Medical College in 1984, and completed her residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in 1987. Originally, she grew up in Queens, New York. During medical school she lived in Philadelphia and later moved to Montgomery, Alabama during her time in the military. In 2002 she came to Jacksonville to practice hospital medicine.
Her passion for medicine started early on in life at 8 years old when her mother gave her a microscope for Christmas, igniting her interest in biology. Later as a teenager, she learned about the horrors of the Tuskegee Syphilis experiments. “I felt that the only way to prevent such atrocities from recurring in the future was to increase the numbers of African Americans in medicine, and the health sciences” recalls Dr. Edwards-Crawford.
She works very hard to take the time to listen to her patients and be an advocate for their health. Helping patients learn to play an active role in their care is one of her primary missions. “I also love being part of a health care team that supports and nurtures each other. Providing good health care is a team effort.”
In her personal time she enjoys spending time with her husband and friends. During football season, you can find her in section 105 at Everbank Field, or playing guitar with her husband, who plays the drums. One of her favorite volunteer activities is to assist with voter registration. If you’re looking for a special treat as a gift, she loves chocolate. Dr. Edwards-Crawford is most fulfilled when she is able to help her patients become knowledgeable about their medical conditions so that they can make smart choices that promote healing and good health.

Dr. Alshareef graduated in 2018 from the PCOM-GA (Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine) in Suwanee, GA. She completed her residency at Cape Fear Valley IM, in Fayetteville, NC.
She was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq, and moved to Jacksonville in June of 2021. She was brought here by family, the beauty of Jacksonville, historic St. Augustine, the beautiful beaches and weather.
Dr. Alshareef’s patients say she is friendly, approachable, and trustworthy. She loves that her contribution brings smiles of appreciation to her patient’s faces. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, working out, cooking a delicious meal, and spending time with family and her two fur babies. She truly enjoys feeding others, and would find it impossible to give up family and loyalty.

Dr. Germain graduated in 2013 from the Windsor University School of Medicine located in Cayon, Saint Mary Cayon Parish, Saint Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean. She then went on to complete her residency at White River Health System, in Batesville AR in 2020.
Medicine has always been a passion for Dr. Germain. She enjoys helping people to strive for a healthier self, by preventative care and counseling/education. Throughout her medical journey, she followed her heart and felt led to be a part of the Jacksonville community.
She says her patients love her bedside manner, and appreciate how thorough she is with them. They describe her as sweet, caring, and compassionate. Dr. Germain is most excited by the ability to educate her patients and empower them in their own healthcare journey. She likes to be involved in church activities that volunteer in the community. When asked what would be impossible for her to give up, she said “Delicious food!”
In her free time Dr. Germain can be found spending time with her kids, working on a project or her website, or perhaps traveling to Orlando to spend time with her extended family. Dr. Germain is from down south in Palm Beach County. She grew up in Central FL, Orlando area, and cam to Jacksonville in the summer of 2021. She says, “You can say I started from the “bottom” and made my way to the “top”, figuratively and literally.”
Dr. Germain defines “Awesome Care” as: “When a patient leaves my office encouraged regarding the outlook on their own personal health, with a plan in hand, questions and concerns fully answered, up to date on preventative care, and knowing that they have a physician who truly cares for their overall well-being, that I would say is “Awesome Care.”

Dr. Gendall graduated in 2004 from the University of Otago based in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand. She completed her residency at Virginia Commonwealth University, and has been practicing/working in healthcare for 10 years. She grew up in New Zealand, and came to Jacksonville in 2012.
She arrived at practicing medicine due to her interest in the human body, and health, and her desire to help people lead healthy lives. Her patients describe her as caring, a good listener, and thorough. Dr. Gendall cares most about her contribution to educating people about their health and changing people’s lives, providing good access to care when it is needed. Dr. Gendall volunteers at Mission House Medical Clinic. In her free time she can be found cooking, gardening, or working out, and says it would be impossible for her to give up coffee!
Dr. Gendall defines “Awesome Care” as: “Providing care when and where it is needed, being up to date with medical knowledge being thorough yet efficient, and ensuring an excellent patient doctor relationship with good communication.”

Diana Johnson, M.D., joined Family Care Partners in July 2003. She is a native of Jacksonville and graduated from Orange Park High School. After completing her B.A. at the University of Florida and graduating Phi Beta Kappa, she earned her medical degree at the University Of Miami School Of Medicine. Dr. Johnson came home to Jacksonville to complete her Pediatric Residency at the University of Florida program at Shands and Wolfson's Children's Hospital. Dr. Johnson is a Board Certified Pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
She enjoys "getting to know both my pediatric patients and their families and following them as they grow and develop. I feel it is a privilege to be a part of the wonderful journey of growth and milestones my patients along with their parents go through. Having been at FCP now for 18 years, I am getting to see children that I have followed since birth coming back in with their new baby brothers or sisters. It is really fun to see how protective and proud they are of their new siblings." She feels it is also important to be available during the illnesses that go hand in hand with childhood.

Shawna P. Hamilton, M.D. joined Family Care Partners in August 2009. She was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. She received her B.A. in Chemistry from Vanderbilt University and went on to receive her medical degree from James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University. Dr. Hamilton completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of Florida program at Shands and Wolfson Children's Hospital. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has been in private practice for the past eight years here in Jacksonville, Florida before joining Family Care Partners.
Dr. Hamilton is an avid sports fan and also enjoys attending local music and theatre events. She loves spending time with her friends and family especially her lovely niece, Jamisen.

Dr. Susu Hankhin is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She has been practicing Pediatrics for nearly 30 years and has been with Family Care Partners since 2004. She is also a member of the Duval County Medical Group.
Dr. Hankhin graduated from the Institute of Medicine in Rangoon, Burma in 1984, and speaks Burmese fluently. She completed her residency training at Long Island College Hospital in New York in 1985. After completing her training she continued working at the Long Island College Hospital as a staff physician for several years before moving to Florida in 1997.

Anna Jung, M.D. grew up in Lawrenceville, GA and moved to Jacksonville in 2011 for her husband's job. Dr. Jung graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2001 with a Bachelor's of Scinece degree in chemical engineering. She then went on to graduate from Medical College of Georgia in 2008, and completed her pediatric residency at Levine's Children Hospital of Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2011.
When asked what path brought her to practicing medicine, she says she didn't always know she wanted to practice medicine, however she has always been passionate about children. She says her love for them is why she became a doctor! Dr. Jung is a member of the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. When not at work, you can usually find her spending time with her family. She says "Spending time with my husband and three kids. I don't care what we do, as long as it's together."
Dr. Jung says hopefully her patients say good things about her, and that she sincerely cares about them. Her goal is to provide comprehensive general pediatric care to all her patients and to be there for them when they need her. What most excites her about her work and the contribution she can make is that she gets to be a part of taking care of the next generation at their most vulnerable time. While also being able to help parents in their most important journey - Parenting!
She likes to volunteer at church, and does it as much as she can. Dr. Jung says it would be impossible for her to give up her coffee. When asked how she would define "Awesome Care", she responded, "To care for patients like I would care for my own family and friends."

Dr. Madadi went to Medical School at M.G.M Medical College, graduating in 1977. She completed her Residency in New York in 1999.
When asked what brought her down the path of healthcare she responded that she was inspired by her Father, who “was a great Physician”.
She feels her patients would describe her as thorough, warm and caring. She is excited about caring for children. It makes her day when a patient comes back for a follow up feeling all better, and give her a warm smile and a hug.
Dr. Madadi grew up in India, and worked on three continents, before getting to Jacksonville. She enjoys gardening and going for long walks. Dr. Madadi likes to keep in touch with her family and friends, and would find it impossible to give that up.
When asked to define “Awesome Care”, she said it was a one stop call, with everything being taken care of at one location.

Dr. Steelman graduated in 2008 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She completed her residency at Goryeb Children’s Hospital, in Morristown, NJ in 2011. She was born in Sarasota, FL and spent most of her childhood in Tampa. Her education and career have taken her to many other places (Louisiana, Tennessee, New Hampshire, Texas, New Jersey, and Georgia), she is very happy to return to her home state of Florida, which has a special place in her heart.
Pediatric medicine is a second career for Dr. Steelman. Until the early 2000’s, she worked in the developmental psychology field. She enjoyed working with children and wanted a more active role in helping them live happy and healthy lives. She returned to school, and has now been a Pediatrician for 10 years. She says it has been every bit as rewarding as she ever hoped it would be.
Dr. Steelman say her patients say they like her unhurried, detailed, and caring approach. She feels the exciting thing about medicine is that research is always revealing and improving treatments to continually upgrade our children’s care. The rapid development and availability of the COVID vaccines being a prime example. As a Pediatrician, she loves being able to bring that information and resources for better health, and quality of life to the children in her care.
In her free time, she may be found spending time hiking or traveling with her husband. She also has a small group of guinea pig rescues that she cares for, and who even have their own social media site. Both she and her husband are active with the St. Mary’s Riverkeepers, who watch over the health and environmental stewardship of the river. Periodically there are river cleanups where they walk along the banks cleaning them of trash and debris.
Dr. Steelman says “Awesome Care” to her, means personalized interest and detail oriented care which focuses on using the best and most evidence based medicine available to optimize the health, comfort, development, and happiness of my patients.
Nurse Practitioner

Mr. Parawan has been working as an APRN since graduating in 2006 from the University of North Florida, and he has been a part of the FCP family that entire time! A Registered Nurse for 15 years prior, Ron has extensive background in Med-Surg and Gerontology.
When asked what brought him down the path of healthcare his response was: “I grew up in a family of healthcare providers, so I was heavily influenced by my upbringing.” He finds it exciting to see the difference he makes in his patient’s lives, when he can see them become healthier both mentally and physically.
He grew up in the Philippines, but has spent most of his adult life here in Jacksonville. When he isn’t working you can usually find him playing tennis out on the courts. He is an avid learner and would never be able to give up the ability to keep learning! He feels it is imperative as a healthcare provider to keep up with the times in terms of the most up to date and latest trends.
When asked to define “Awesome Care” he states: “Awesome Care means a satisfied patient!”

Ms. Jackson has been working in Healthcare for 9 years. She attended Chamberlain University, and completed her degree in 2019, becoming a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
When asked what brought her down the path of healthcare her response was: “As a high school student, I always wanted to be a nurse. At 23, I was working as an RN on a post-surgical floor. The relationships that I developed by being a part of the process to rehab, inspired me to continue my education, and influence my patients to improve their health.
She says her patients always say she is caring, thoughtful, understanding, and energetic. She is most excited about being a part of the team, to encourage and influence patients to improve their health, and to witness the enhanced status of that patient’s health.
Ms. Jackson was born and raised right here in Jacksonville, FL. When she isn’t working, she says her weekends are spent with her family watching the Jacksonville Jaguars play. Spending time with her family means so much to her, and she would find that impossible to give up.
She enjoys volunteering, and recalls fondly a particular time when she assisted the AHA with their diabetes camp for kids called Camp JADA. She truly enjoyed the experience of interacting with the kids, and educating them about their disease

Christina Sellers, ARNP
Ms. Sellers has been working in Healthcare for 22 years, graduating in 2019 with her APRN from South University.
When asked what brought her down the path of healthcare her response was: “When I graduated high school, I worked with Family Care Partners of Arlington. I then worked at Shands, and Baptist Beaches hospital, both in patient care. In my early 20’s, I obtained my massage therapist license and worked for multiple chiropractors. In 2014, I began my nursing career, while furthering my education to become a Family Nurse Practitioner.
She believes her patients can tell she cares through her ability to listen and think out of the box for different solutions. She enjoys educating her patients, helping them understand and encouraging them to be part of their healthcare choices by giving her patients options, plans, and goals. Ms. Sellers is excited by helping others and creating positive experiences. She enjoys being part of the patient’s journey to a healthy and happy future. When goals are planned, executed and achieved, I love to celebrate this triumph with the patient. I hope to contribute a listening ear, open mind, compassionate heart, and positive presence.
She was born and raised in Jacksonville, and loves to volunteer with the geriatric community. Ms. Sellers says it would be impossible for her to give up her faith. She states, “My moral foundation begins and ends within my faith and how I was raised.” When she isn’t working you will find her with her at home with her children. They are her reason to smile. Where she spends her weekends depends on her mood, she’s not a planner per se, she just likes to go with the flow of life.
“As a nurse, I cared for every patient as if they were my family, and would always put into perspective how I would want them treated. As a Nurse Practitioner, this has not changed. Treating every patient as an individual and not treating with “blanket Medicine”. We are all made differently, what works for you may not work for all. As of 2021, Ms. Poynter has been working in Healthcare for over 10 years more than half of that was spent as an emergency department nurse. She graduated in 2020 from Jacksonville University becoming an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. She grew up in Clay County, and came back to Jacksonville for nursing school in 2013.
When asked what brought her down the path of healthcare her response was: “I’ve always liked helping people, and I’ve always been good at science. After going to EMT school my freshman year of college, I knew I wanted to be in healthcare. After working in an emergency department as an RN, I knew I wanted to help take care of people in a different role as a nurse practitioner.”
Ms. Poynter says her patients say she listens to them, and take the time to explain treatments or tests in a way that is easy for them to understand. She is most excited when she can work with a patient to improve their health. Whether it is a cut finger that needed stitches, or hypertension that is now controlled. I love when we both can see the improvements!
She likes volunteering for hands-only CPR for the community, and dance marathons for Children’s Miracle Network. When she isn’t working you can usually find her out and about with her husband and dog, Stanley, or at home taking care of my honeybees. I love being on or around the water when it is warm, and says it would be impossible for her to give up Diet Coke!
When asked to define “Awesome Care” she states: “Awesome care is when the patient and the provider can work together to make a treatment plan, that works for that individual, gets results, and shows improvement.”

Ms. Shanks has been working in Healthcare for more than 10 years, earning her MSN-FNP in 2018.
When asked what brought her down the path of healthcare her response was: “My grandfather had a heart transplant when I was 13 years old. The procedure and healthcare he received was amazing, and I knew at that moment I wanted to be a part of such an amazing team to care for people.”
She believes that her patients would say that she listens to their concerns and motivates them to be healthier. What excites her most about her contribution is seeing patients succeed in their healthcare goals, and knowing she’s made an impact on their physical and mental happiness.
When she isn’t working you can usually find her either playing trivia, on a beach, or in the water somewhere with her children, or maybe relaxing snuggled on the couch with her two Yorkies. She would find it impossible to hive up time with her family and dogs.
When asked to define “Awesome Care” she states: “It means individualizing patient care. Each one of my patients are different. There is no cookie cutter care in health care. Each patient has their own unique personality, background, social situation, culture and lifestyle that Influences their emotional and physical health. I listen to my patients, understand their story, to structure their care around what motivates them to be compliant and overall healthier. My diverse nursing background has influenced my care as a provider in the ability to make the personal connections and build the trust that I feel are very strongly needed in the provider-patient relationship.

Physician Assistant David Stogin believes that treating the person rather than the symptom is the
best
part of his job. "I have had 20 years of experience working hand in hand with doctors and I really
love
what I do." His relaxed personality and comfort with his expertise makes him a perfect addition to
the
Northside practice.
Mr. Stogin, a native of the Midwest, moved to Florida on his wife's
suggestion that they retire in Florida. "She had always followed me in my career, so it was her turn
to
decide where we would go next. She wanted somewhere warm." After many cold winters in Nebraska, Mr.
Stogin moved to Florida and joined Family Care Partners.
A six year veteran of the
military,
Stogin has experienced a little bit of everything including emergency medicine, surgery, orthopedic
surgery and internal medicine.

Mrs. Trzasko has been working in Healthcare for 15 years graduating in 2009 from Towson.
When asked what brought her down the path of healthcare her response was: “I always wanted to work in healthcare. The Physician Assistant’s role is great because I can provide comprehensive care and treatment for patients of all ages with any sort of ailment.”
She believes that her patients would say that she listens intently to their needs. That she is a compassionate and thorough individual who is willing to spend a lot of time with them to meet the needs of their care.
She is originally from Tampa, but did her undergrad work in Richmond, Virginia, in addition to grad school in the Washington DC/Baltimore area. Her husband was transferred here for work in mid-2013 and they really enjoy the area.
When she isn’t working you can usually find her on the beach or spending time with her new family whenever possible.
When asked to define “Awesome Care” she states: “Awesome Care is that the patient feels their needs have been met and they feel like they are truly in good hands.”

Mr. Mullaney is a new 2020 graduate from Nova Southeastern University.
When asked what brought him down the path of healthcare his response was: “I had a wonderful relationship with my family care provider. I want to use my passion for the sciences and helping people to have a similar relationship with all of my patients.”
He believes that his patients say he is genuinely concerned with their well-being. They say he is a great listener, and that he is eager to know them beyond their medical needs.
Mr. Mullaney was born and raised here in Jacksonville, FL; and is crazy about volunteering at the local soup kitchens and various church events. When he isn’t working he is likely to be found with his large family; either fishing, eating together, or hiking with their dogs.
When asked to define “Awesome Care” he states: “Awesome Care begins with greeting patients with a smile, listening to their concerns, showing empathy, and treating the patient so they are confident that they received the best care possible.”

Ms. Fellis has been graduated in 2020 from Nova Southeastern University – Fort Myers, and worked 2.5 years as a CNA and 2.5 years as a pediatric medical assistant before entering PA school. She was born in St. Augustine, FL and moved to Jacksonville in 2009 for college at UNF.
When asked what brought her down the path of healthcare Ms. Fellis’ response was: “I was diagnosed with spina bifida occulta when I was 16. I had surgery and the pediatrician who was with me was amazing, which made me want to help others like he helped me.
Ms. Fellis believes her patients would say that she is caring, compassionate, and a good listener. What most excites her most about her work and the contribution she can make is that medicine is like a puzzle. It is fun to put the pieces together and help patients live a healthier, happier life.
When she isn’t working she enjoys dancing, going to the gym, and spending time with friends and family, and would find it impossible to give up chocolate! Almost every year since high school, Ms. Fellis has helped out with Firefighters for Families in St. Augustine during Christmas.
When asked to define “Awesome Care” she sums it up as: “Getting to know the patients and doing what is best for each individual patient with evidence based medicine and personal values.”

Mr. Alexander received his Bachelor degree from University of North Florida, before attending and graduating from Nova Southeastern University in 2020.
We asked what brought him down the path of healthcare and his response was: “Initially I completed my bachelors in Business Administration at University of North Florida. However I had always been interested in medicine and the idea of being able to directly help others. I chose to change paths and pursue a career in medicine as a Physicians Assistant shortly after completing my undergrad studies.
Jared says although new to the field of medicine, he hopes that patients will appreciate his attention to detail, his ability to listen, and recognize his sincere desire to help. Helping people improve their quality of life is what excites him most about the contribution he can make.
He was born and raised right here in Jacksonville, and has lived everywhere from Murray Hill to the Beaches. When he isn’t working you can find him spending time with his three daughters and wife. They enjoy going to the zoo, local parks, and being outside in nature. Jared is also an avid golfer, and sneaks in a round whenever he can. Jared and his family are dedicated members of their church, and have participated in several service opportunities throughout the city. He says he would find it impossible to give up his family, his faith, and ice cold Coca Cola.
When asked to define “Awesome Care” Jared summed it up as: “A good healthcare provider should take the time to listen to your concerns and fully explain your care plan in terms you can understand. You should feel comfortable, and cared for.”

Ms. Wilmot attended Nova Southeastern University for PA school, and graduated in 2020. For many years, she was unsure of her career. In college she studied sciences and found her love for medicine. This coupled well with her desire to give back, and is how she found her passion.
She was born and raised in Jacksonville, she spent six years in Orlando working and earning her undergrad. Ms. Wilmot patients say she listens well, is patient, and takes the time to fully understand their needs.
Ms. Wilmot loves the idea of serving in her community When not working she enjoys days at the beach, on the boat fishing, and taking her dog out. She says it would be impossible for her to give up her dog, and cats!
She states; “Awesome Care is simply care with meaning and action. Going above and beyond for your patient.”
